Website Design, Hosting & Maintenance
Midimutt Productions Closing
After 18 years of providing value website design, hosting, and maintenance, I have made the decision to wind down the Midimutt Productions brand starting Jan 1, 2019. The decision to close this business was not an easy one as I have enjoyed the relationships with my clients over the years.
- Website Maintenance will be discontinued on Jan 1, 2020
- Website Hosting accounts will remain active through the end of your prepaid billing term. I will contact you in advance of that time to discuss website hosting options. The decision is yours.
I plan to personally oversee every website hosting migration. No down time / no charge. I will make sure that you have a copy of all credentials associated with your account (usernames, passwords, etc.).

What Is Website Hosting?
A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to make their own website accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own or lease for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center.
What Is Shared Hosting?
In a shared hosting environment, multiple web sites share the same server, thus reducing the cost for everyone. Shared hosting is the most popular and affordable choice for personal sites, small businesses, and medium sized businesses.
What is Domain Name Registration?
Domain name registration refers to the process of registering a domain name, which associates IP addresses with a domain name that is easy to remember and use in URLs to identify a particular web site.
A domain name registrar is a business that manages the reservation of Internet domain names. When you register a domain name, you can be assured that it is unique to you, and no one else can own it.
What is a Midimutt?
When this business started in 2001, the focus was on creating custom HTML websites as well as original music in MIDI format for the web. Since MIDI files are a lot smaller than audio files, MIDI was the best way to add a sonic element to the dialup surfing experience. Eventually, as download speeds increased, the demand for original MIDI files decreased. However… the name stuck. And why not? There were other startups with funny names like “HotBot”, “Yahoo”, and let’s not forget… “Google”!
